Management of the criminal case concerning bribery of - and by - Members of Parliament was agreed Tuesday morning in the Supreme Court before Justice Mary Sey. The trial will take place for two weeks from 2 September. The number of defendants is reduced to 16. Under the Act relative to the Public Prosecutor, the Public Prosecutor has power to grant immunity from prosecution according to criteria which are outlined. Two Santo MPs, Kalfau Moli and Hosea Nevu, have sought such immunity. Their indemnity can be lost if they fail to fulfill or comply with the terms of their indemnification.
