The first court sitting does indeed take place tomorrow, at 9 am at the Dumbea courthouse. It is not a hearing "in chambers" as your editor suggested on Saturday. The Speaker of Parliament for the last two months, Marcellino Pipite, led the lunchtime VBTC news with information that the Standing Orders of Parliament are being reviewed because of the frequent changes of government which we all now call Instability. In October there will be a study concerning the Standing Orders. Vanuatu Women's Centre last week received VT 165.000 from a Tasmanian women's organisation - fundraising intended to assist women following the disastrous cyclone Pam. Their fundraising efforts were handed over by Australian High Commissioner Jeremy Bruer to Merelyn Tahi of the Vanuatu Women's Centre.
