Pacific Regionalism is About Building and Keeping Relationships

We recently farewelled Director - Governance and Engagement, Mr Sione Tekiteki, who after more than a decade with the Pacific Islands Forum in Fiji, is leaving for New Zealand for fresh new fields.

Before he left though, Sione, shared some thoughts on 'Regionalism' in the Pacific.

"I think Pacific regionalism is very different to how textbooks understand regionalism.
Pacific regionalism is about people. It's about relationships."

We thank him for his dedication and his contributions to the region over the years and wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors.
Malo 'aupito and Vinaka Vakalevu, Sione.
